Expansion on the Property of a Historic Inn

SV Design was tasked with finding a tastefully appropriate solution for new guest rooms, a welcoming reception area, and improved traffic flow on the grounds of the Publick House Historic Inn in Sturbridge, Massachusetts. Emulating the scale and materials of the neighboring buildings, SV Design created a new building - the Tillyer House - designed to integrate with the historic fabric of the town. The building contains an additional 28 guest rooms and provides improved parking and overall layout of the property. An open and accessible reception area greatly improves the visual and practical experiences of guest check in and check out. Prior work of the Publick House Historic Inn involved the restoration and renovation of the Chamberlain House.
