Beverly’s Rantoul Street has been revitalized over the last few years with projects like SV Design’s The Flats at 131 and Link 480. A recent addition to the expanding rental market on Rantoul Street is the newly constructed project called Canvas, made up of two mixed-use buildings with retail spaces that open to the street level and several stories of residential units above. Canvas is located a few blocks from the Beverly Depot Commuter Rail Station and adjacent to one of Beverly’s primary civic centers. There are 126 total units between the two buildings, with 98 units in one and 28 units in the other.

Tenants enjoy a mix of amenities ranging from a large fitness and adjacent yoga studio to a top-floor sky lounge with water views. Although two separate buildings, they were designed with similar architectural features, including cornice lines and overall building language to complement each other and create a harmonious streetscape. Both buildings were designed and constructed as modular wood buildings that sit above a podium structure, simplifying on-site coordination and reducing the construction schedule.
