It is perfectly aligned with the coastline on which it sits and takes full advantage of the views of the ocean, islands, and shoals. The serenity of the site continues into the building structures and is further enhanced by the textures of the trees, plantings, sand, and shoreline.

The house is nestled on a nicely wooded lot, giving the residence screening from the street. On the rear of the lot, an open meadow leads down to the ocean. It is located within walking distance to town, and all its amenities yet feels miles away in the privacy that it affords.

The position of the house on the property takes full advantage of the natural light and solar orientations. With modern connectors, traditional New England forms serve to unify the home with accessory buildings. A unique feature is an underground connection between the main house and an outbuilding.

With their flowing connections, no room is isolated or ignored; each reflects a different level of privacy and social interaction.
